2022 Ford F-150 Lightning: Interior
One aspect of technology you’ll be pleased to have on your side is the BlueCruise feature that’s part of the available Ford Co-Pilot360™. It makes it possible for you to enjoy a relaxed and comfortable, hands-free driving experience while you’re on the road.
Something you’ll really love about this set of wheels is that it lets you tackle any terrain with ease thanks to selectable drive modes. Normal, Sport, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road modes will make any trip feel like a breeze!
The F-150 Lightning also makes towing much easier with some technologies you can access from inside the cabin. First is the available Pro Trailer Hitch Assist. This feature helps you hook up a trailer by using the rearview camera to line up everything perfectly. All you have to do is hold down a button, and the feature does the rest!
Next up are onboard scales. These measure payload weight and will display the stats on your infotainment screen so you’ll always know how much weight you’re carrying in your truck bed.
Third is Pro Trailer Backup Assist™, which helps you back up with a trailer attached. Your infotainment screen will give you a live look at your trailer while also displaying gridlines so you’ll know which direction you’re headed. While you’re backing up, you’ll control the shift knob in the cabin, and the feature will respond!
Finally, for extra visibility, there’s Trailer Reverse Guidance, which has cameras placed on the sideview mirrors to make backing up with your trailer attached even easier.
Ford F-150 Lightning: Technology
The 12-inch digital instrument cluster comes standard inside the 2022 F-150 Lightning. Its large size allows you to view the customizable interface easily. You’ll be able to quickly access such vital information as how fast you’re going while still being able to devote your attention to the drive itself.
If you do a lot of work outside your vehicle, the available fold-out Interior Work Surface will likely prove useful. It makes it a lot easier to sign documents and work on a laptop. Take advantage of the standard Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ features to play your favorite songs and podcasts while you’re driving or on the job. These features will display on your infotainment screen, so you won’t have to look down at your phone at any point!
What really makes the F-150 Lightning unique, though, is its SYNC® 4A technology, which not only allows for all the above, but it also gives over-the-air software updates and navigation instructions as well as provides access to how-to vehicle manuals and can even order food!
