In the SuperCrew, the rear seating dimensions for the Ford F-150 include 40.4 inches of headroom and 43.6 inches of legroom. Having the option to upgrade your cabin is a great advantage for the Ford F-150 since being able to accommodate more passengers opens up different opportunities for travel and adventure. You can now take your co-workers to a remote job site or ferry the family to a relative's home during holidays.

The Ram 1500 offers similar dimensions in rear seating to the Regular Cab for the Ford F-150, providing 39.8 inches of rear headroom and 45.2 inches of rear legroom. Ford F-150 vs Ram 1500: Technology

2021 Ford F-150 Interior Technology

Ram 1500 Interior Technology

We all know that technology is more important than ever on your travels. These days, drivers want to stay connected and have information available at their fingertips. Both vehicles offer plenty of technology, including available 12-inch touchscreen displays that offer plenty of beneficial navigation and entertainment features. Plus, the sheer size of these screens makes it possible to devote the necessary attention to the road in front of you.

Additional technology features you’ll find available on the 2022 Ford F-150 include FordPass™ Connect that allows you to use an app to access such beneficial controls as start/stop, lock/unlock, and more. The FordPass™ Connect feature can be extended into a 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot, powered by AT&T, that up to 10 devices can connect to all at once while accessing it from up to 50 feet outside the vehicle. This is beneficial to all drivers as it means you can bring your work on the road without worrying about finding a solid connection to link up with your team or exchange important work materials. It also comes equipped with the SYNC® 4 entertainment system on a capacitive touchscreen. SYNC® 4 allows you access to over-the-air updates that can automatically be installed while your vehicle is at rest, improving performance.

An available option is to upgrade your standard SYNC® 4 to SYNC® 4 with enhanced voice recognition. This integrates your smartphone and cloud-based connectivity so you can control many of the pre-installed features of SYNC® 4 with voice alone. Included in this package is a digital Owner's Manual that you can refer to at any time, using streamable how-to videos and further in-depth information.

You’ll also get safety technology features in both vehicles that are designed to help protect drivers and keep them aware of their surroundings. These include the following:

  • BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Trailer Coverage
  • Lane-Keeping System
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking

With the BLIS® with Trailer Coverage on your side, changing lanes can be a lot easier and safer. You’ll now know whether or not a vehicle is occupying one of your blind spot areas before you make your move. Not only will you know who's in your blind spots, but with Trailer Coverage, you won't have to worry about your trailer blocking your field of vision, making it safer for you to change lanes even with the biggest trailer or toy hitched.

The Lane-Keeping System can be a big help during longer drives when you might find it difficult to maintain your concentration. This feature will alert you when you start to inadvertently drift into a neighboring lane. If possible, it's also a good idea when this feature kicks in to pull over and rest for a while so you can return to the road feeling refreshed and refocused.

You’ll be glad Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking is on your side. Even if it’s unable to prevent the unexpected and an accident does occur, it may be able to minimize any effects caused by the impact. This kind of system is especially helpful when you're navigating high-volume, high-traffic areas like the highway or the inner-city streets. With automatically activated emergency braking, you can drive with a sense of confidence that, if an accident does occur, your vehicle will come to a complete stop and not endanger others in the nearby vicinity.
