What They’re Striving to Accomplish

The mission for the folks who make up the United Way of Southwest Wyoming is to unite people, share resources, and improve lives throughout the community. They work to create long-lasting changes via education, health, and by fulfilling basic needs.

Some of Their Programs

Here are a few of the programs used to accomplish the goals mentioned above:

• Community Diaper Banks - Supplying families with diapers promotes cleanliness and good health for their babies. It also lets them focus their finances on other necessary areas.
• Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library - Because early education is so important, this program sends enrolled children from birth to five years in Fremont County, Lincoln County, Sweetwater County, and Uinta County one free book every month.
• FamilyWize - The partnership with FamilyWize makes sure that people who don’t have insurance or prescription coverage are able to receive discounts on their prescription drugs. The areas covered by this program include Fremont County, Sublette County, Sweetwater County, Teton County, and Uinta County.
