Wyoming is a state defined by its vast landscapes, unpredictable weather, and rugged terrain. From the high plains of Laramie to the steep passes of the Teton Range, what you drive isn’t just a matter of personal style—it’s a tool for survival, work, and adventure. Read on to find out more about the best selling vehicles in Wyoming.

The official Wyoming title reports for the first quarter of 2026 are officially in, and they provide a fascinating look into the specific automotive needs of Wyomingites. Unsurprisingly, trucks and heavy-duty capability continue to dominate the market, but a deeper look at the data reveals some incredible trends in the SUV and crossover segments as well.

1. Full-Size and Heavy-Duty Trucks Reign Supreme

If there is one absolute truth about vehicle shopping in Wyoming, it is that capability is non-negotiable. Out of the top ten best-selling vehicles in Q1 2026, a staggering seven are full-size or heavy-duty pickups.

The Ford F-150 comfortably holds its long-standing crown as the #1 best-selling vehicle in the state with 308 titles registered. However, the #2 spot. The Ford F-350 Super Duty brought in a massive 255 registrations, actually outselling every light-duty truck on the market except its smaller sibling.

Chevrolet also secured an excellent quarter, with the Silverado 1500 taking the #3 spot (182 units) and the heavy-duty Silverado 2500HD coming in at #6 with 147 units. Ram made a strong showing across the board, moving 118 units of the Ram 1500, 102 units of the heavy-duty Ram 3500, and 86 units of the Ram 2500.

2. SUVs Built for the Great Outdoors

While trucks hold the volume titles, Wyoming’s SUV preferences tell a clear story of outdoor capability and winter reliability. The undisputed SUV king for Q1 2026 is the Toyota 4Runner, tying for the #4 overall spot with 151 units registered. The 4Runner’s legendary body-on-frame durability and off-road prowess make it perfectly suited for Wyoming’s backcountry roads.

Following closely behind are the Ford Explorer (123 units) and the Subaru Outback (94 units). Subaru’s presence in the top tier—with both the Outback at #12 and the Forester at #16 (81 units)—showcases just how much Wyoming drivers trust standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive when the black ice settles on I-80.

3. The Manufacturer Standings: Ford and Toyota Stand Tall

Looking at total numbers across the top 16 vehicles, Ford Motor Company remains the dominant force in the state, capturing 837 total registrations across its top four models (F-150, F-350, F-250, and Explorer).

Toyota has also solidified its position as a mountain-state powerhouse. Between the 4Runner, the full-size Tundra pickup (124 units), the compact Tacoma (87 units), and the efficient RAV4 (85 units), Toyota placed four distinct models in the top 15, proving that its reputation for longevity resonates deeply with Wyoming buyers.
